Description

This tour is spectacular and one of our well kept secrets! It elicits a tranquil feeling giving you a chance to unplug. This is a beautiful and enchanting area. Lake Norris and it’s bald dwarf cypress are a stunning and evoke the feeling of a fairytale landscape, especially when viewed in the fog. Wildlife is abundant here! One of the special highlights of this area is the high concentration of osprey nests that sit in the top of the cypress trees that are on the perimeter of the lake. If you are light on your feet you may also see deer, otter, black bears and, foxes on your hike.

This is an out and back trail with gorgeous views!

Food: What To Expect?

Day tours include energizing trail snacks and a delicious picnic lunch. Your guide will customize the food for your tour, but a typical lunch consists of crackers, cheese, salami, fruit, veggies, drinks, and a dessert.

We regularly accommodate vegan, vegetarian, kosher, and non-gluten diets and will make adjustments for food allergies. These and other special dietary requests may require an additional fee.

Driving Directions

From Orlando:
Take FL-429 north for 14 miles to Kelly Park Rd. Turn right onto Kelley Park Rd.
Continue 0.3 miles to Co Rd 437/Plymoth Sorrento Rd on your left.
Turn left. Drive 3.5 miles to Sorrento Ave on your right.
Turn right. After 0.5 miles turn left onto Co Rd 437.
Continue for 4.8 miles to Burlington Ave.
Turn right onto Burlington Ave.
Continue 0.5 miles to Lake Norris Rd on your left.
Turn left. Continue 2.5 miles to Blackwater Creek Rd.
Make a slight left onto Blackwater Creek Rd. The meeting point is another 292 ft.

Age restrictions are as follows:

  • 12 and older to join scheduled tours
  • 5 and older to join private tours, with final approval and specific logistical requirements determined on a case by case basis
